My heart resonates with Pablo's slice of life. I, too, thought that I deserved much more in life--after all, I was a "good" Christian. In my anger about not deserving cancer (or a lifetime of other disappointments) I lost touch with any sincere thanksgiving for my blessings, and ultimately joy. I was never satisified. Pablo's story affirms what I know to be true that there is peace and joy when we are able to look in the mirror with honesty, and realize how much we are loved by the author of life. It is an infectious message, and told well.
This was one of the most refreshing, thought provoking, stirring & most impacting books I have ever EXPERIENCED. It touched me very deeply mentally, emotionally & spiritually. When I read this I was camping with my family and I was very relaxed, at peace, open & vulnerable. It didn't seem like I was reading a book but embarking on a journey. Thank you Pablo Giocopelli for sharing your story. I believe it is EVERY person's story to some extent. I seriously cannot imagine anybody reading it & not being encouraged by it. It's one of the few books that I put on my 'must read' shelf. In fact, I have given a number of these books away to some very special people.
This book is a true pleasure to read. Pablo takes the reader on a personal journey through his own life in a very vulnerable way that allows the reader to walk with him into the present.
If you are struggling and striving, seemingly getting nowhere or just getting the same old results this book is for you.
Pablo uses great and easy to comprehend analogies to describe a spiritual life that works better by doing the opposite of what we typically are taught, which is to work harder. Pablo explains how rest and grace actually lead to better life results.
Patience, trust and faith result as Pablo explains how to Hold on Loosely.

When I first read this remarkable book I was on my way to a family vacation with my wife and kids. Like most, I was consumed by my past - good and bad, and the future and all that entails. The timing couldn't of been better, once I started I could not stop reading. On my phone, tablet or laptop I just had to read more.
Pablo shares amazing experiences I was able to relate to very personally. He opens his soul up to the reader and shares some very personal and intimate moments of his life. The journey of how he finds his faith and a direct relationship with God, something we all struggle with at different times of our lives is powerful.
My biggest takeaway from "Holding on Loosely" is exactly that, to learn to live in the present and enjoy our blessings.
I strongly recommend this book to those of faith and especially to those who have personal struggles with it.
I read this book over a period of two days. This piece is very gripping and is exceptionally well written. The communication is deep and gives you insite in the writer's life at every level. The explanations and experiences shared invite you to take a whole new perspective on your life and what you hold on to. Our lives as a whole encourage us to strive for success, the only way to gain satisfaction and acceptance; however 'Holding on Loosely', encourages you to look beyond that, transforming your outlook to being you, as oposed to doing you. We are all human beings and not human doings and this is where fulfillment in life lies. It doesn't mean we give up our dreams, but we hold on to every moment defining our lives in the slip stream of life letting go of the past and the future. This piece shows real life examples on concentrating on the now and living life to the full. Religion offers only bondage and steps to success if you follow and fit a certain criteria. Relationship in love shows that you are accepted and respected no matter what and that there is a plan for you life that does not include your understanding of the matter. It is truly in letting go that we can fully understand and appreciate the miracle of him who loved us and made us not just to be his brother but his friend. A truely enspiring piece that will usher the peace back into your life.
I love this book! It helped me to be living more in the present, rather than reflecting on the past or forging ahead in the future in my mind - trying to make things happen in my own strength. I recommend this book to anyone who desires to be closer in intimacy with their Creator - Abba Father. This is also a great present to give family and friends for amazing spiritual growth! I gave my friend this book and she said that it was definitely the timing of the Lord and was a must read at that time in her life!
